- the whole tutorial usually takes about 16 hours to complete, but participants decide individually how much time they will spend learning daily or weekly; participants have unlimited access to the tutorial, and can spend as much time as they want completing the course
- each tutorial consists of several modules, each module covers a specific topic (e.g. risk assessment methodology; internal audits etc.); each module consists of a lesson which explains the requirements of the standard and the best ways to implement them in practice, an interactive quiz enabling the participant to identify parts of the lesson that should be repeated, and a lesson evaluation serving as feedback for the course author
